Sylhet's tea gardens look almost unreal in photographs, not because of any trick, but because the light here genuinely behaves differently. Mist settles into the valleys most mornings, and it burns off slowly enough to shoot through it for a solid hour after sunrise.
Best time of year
November through February gives the clearest air and the most reliable morning fog. Monsoon season (June-September) is dramatic in its own way - deep greens, moody skies - but travel is harder and the light is less predictable.
Getting the top-down view
The manicured rows only really read as patterns from height. A drone captures the geometry; from the ground, look for a rise or a garden road that lets you shoot down the slope instead of across it.
Pickers usually start early too, so if you want people in the frame - not just the landscape - dawn is still your best window before the crews move deeper into the gardens.
