Momin didn't set out to become a guide. He set out to photograph his own country properly - the Bangladesh that never made it into the postcards. Years of chasing dawn light across the Sundarbans, waiting out monsoons in river villages, and talking his way into shipyards and dye houses most outsiders never see turned into something he hadn't planned on: he knew this country better through a viewfinder than almost anyone else did. The tours started almost by accident, when a visiting photographer asked if Momin could just show him around for a week. That week became the template. No fixed bus schedule, no rushing between checkpoints - just the light, the story, and however long it takes to get the shot right. Today, every PhotoTourBD trip is still led personally by Momin. No handoffs, no junior guides, no shared groups. If you travel with PhotoTourBD, you travel with the person who spent years learning exactly where the light falls right - and he's still finding new places nobody else has photographed yet.

What camera equipment do I need? +
Any camera works - DSLR, mirrorless, or even a smartphone. Our guides tailor advice to your equipment level. Specific gear recommendations are in each tour's "What to Bring" section.
What makes a private tour special? +
Every tour is a fully private experience with your guide - they plan the route around your specific photography goals, stay with your group the entire time, and offer hands-on mentorship throughout. No strangers, no rushing, just you and Bangladesh through their lens.
Can I cancel if I can't make it? +
Yes, you can cancel any time before your travel date. Refunds are issued minus a 20% service charge on the amount paid, to cover processing and planning costs already incurred. Wallet refunds are instant; card/PayPal refunds take 5-7 business days.
How do I pay? +
From your PhotoTourBD wallet (top up anytime, no extra fee), PayPal, or credit/debit card via Stripe. Card and PayPal payments include a processing/service charge, calculated automatically at checkout, which the guest is responsible for covering.
Are these tours suitable for beginners? +
Absolutely. Our guides love working with all skill levels. Beginners often find these tours the fastest way to improve their photography dramatically.
Can I request custom dates or a custom tour? +
Yes - use the Special Requests field when booking, or contact us to discuss a custom itinerary.
Do I have to pay a processing fee? +
If you pay by card or PayPal, yes - a service/processing charge is added at checkout to cover third-party payment fees. Paying from your PhotoTourBD wallet avoids this extra charge entirely.
What happens if I need to cancel? +
You can cancel anytime before your travel date. We'll refund what you paid minus a 20% service charge, which covers administrative and planning work already done for your trip. No refunds are given for cancellations after travel has started or for no-shows.
Do I need travel insurance? +
We strongly recommend it. Travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation is your responsibility to arrange, and is not included in the tour price.
Do I need a visa for Bangladesh? +
Most nationalities require a visa to enter Bangladesh. Requirements vary by country, so please check with the Bangladesh embassy or consulate for your nationality well before booking. Visa arrangements are the guest's responsibility.
