In rural fabric-dyeing villages, entire fields double as drying yards. Long bolts of cloth - much of it a deep, saturated red - stretch across the grass or hang from bamboo frames, and from above, the fields become solid blocks of color.
Ground level vs. aerial
From the ground, you get the workers moving between rows of hanging fabric, tossing and adjusting the cloth. From above, the same scene reads as pure abstract color and geometry - genuinely one of the more surprising compositions you can find in the country.
Practical notes
These are working villages, not tourist sites, so a local guide who knows the families matters more here than almost anywhere else on a Bangladesh itinerary. Mid-morning, once the fabric is fully laid out but before the light gets too harsh, is the reliable window.
